Telnyx SIP Trunking
This guide connects a Telnyx SIP trunk to Live Hub. Complete the following steps:
- Create an Outbound Voice Profile in the Telnyx account.
- Create a SIP connection in the Telnyx account.
- Assign a phone number to the SIP connection in the Telnyx account.
- Create a SIP connection in Live Hub.
Create an Outbound Voice Profile in the Telnyx account
To create an Outbound Voice Profile in the Telnyx account:

Log in to the Telnyx portal as a user with Admin privileges.

In the navigation panel, from the 'Voice' drop-down list, select Outbound Voice Profiles.

Click Add New Profile.

For 'Name', enter the name of your profile, for example Live Hub.

Configure the following parameters according to your connection usage:
- 'Billing Method'
- 'Available Regions and Countries'

Click Save.

Create a SIP connection in the Telnyx account
To create the SIP connection that represents Live Hub in the Telnyx account:

In the Telnyx portal's navigation panel, from the 'Voice' drop-down list, select SIP connections.

Click Add SIP Connection.
- For 'Name', enter the name of your SIP connection, for example Live Hub.
- Click Create SIP Connections.
- For 'SIP Connection Type', select Credentials.
- Telnyx generates a
{username}and{password}automatically. Copy them for use when you configure the SIP connection in Live Hub. - For 'Outbound Voice Profile', select the Outbound Voice Profile that you created in the previous step.
- Click Save & Finish Editing.

Select the SIP connection that you created, and then click Inbound Options.

For 'Number Format (DNIS)', select +E.164.

For 'Number Format (ANI)', select +E.164.

In 'Expert Settings':
- For 'Encrypted Media', select SRTP.
- For 'Offered Audio/Video Codecs', select the G711U, G711A, and G729 codecs.

Click Done Editing.

Assign a phone number to the SIP connection in the Telnyx account
To assign the phone number that serves as the Live Hub access number in the Telnyx account:
- In the Telnyx portal's navigation panel, from the 'Numbers' drop-down list, select My Numbers.
- Find the number that you want to use to access Live Hub. You can use any existing number, or purchase a new one on the Search & Buy Numbers tab.
- In the 'SIP Connection' field of the selected number, select the SIP connection that you created in the previous step, and then apply your changes.
Create a SIP connection in Live Hub
To create the SIP connection that represents your Telnyx SIP trunking account:

Log in to Live Hub.

In the Navigation pane, select SIP connections, and then click Add new SIP connection.

Select the General tab:

Under General:
- In the 'Name' field, enter a unique SIP connection name (for example, Telnyx).
- From the 'Provider type' drop-down list, select SIP Trunk.
- From the 'Provider' drop-down list, select Telnyx SIP Trunk.

Under Security:
- From the 'Encryption' drop-down list, select Enabled.

Under Registration and authentication:
- From the 'Registration' drop-down list, select Enabled.
- In the 'Contact name' field, enter the
{username}that Telnyx generated for your Telnyx SIP connection. - Under Credentials, enter the
{username}and{password}that Telnyx generated for your Telnyx SIP connection.

Select the Incoming tab, and then make sure that the 'FQDN' and 'Source IP address' check boxes are selected.

Select the Outgoing tab:

Under Addresses:

Click Add to create a new entry.
- In the 'ADDRESS' field, enter
sip.telnyx.com. - In the 'PORT' field, enter
5061. - In the 'PROTOCOL' field, select TLS.
- In the 'ADDRESS' field, enter
